Description
This clever and space-saving mid-century nest of tables features one large rectangular table on castors, housing four individual folding round tables. Each smaller table folds flat and slots neatly beneath the main table within its own profiled space, making it both practical and beautifully engineered. Ideal for entertaining or flexible living, the design allows you to expand surface space when needed while keeping everything compact when not in use.
This piece has been carefully restored in our London-based workshop. We have sanded and refinished the top of the largest table with stain and oil, repaired and adjusted the runners for the smaller tables, secured lifting veneer, filled areas where needed with wax, and replaced sections of veneer where it had peeled. The entire set has been nourished with oil to recondition the wood and enhance its natural sheen. The tables are finished in elegant teak veneer, highlighting the warmth and character of the wood.

Condition:
This vintage set is in average restored condition. The top has been refinished, veneer repaired in places, and the structure stabilised. There are minor signs of age, adding to its character. Please examine the photos carefully, as they form part of the product description.

We nurture creativity in a supportive environment while providing valuable training, guidance, and experience in a work setting from master upholsterers, professional interior designers, and restoration experts. Participants learn important skills in traditional crafts, restoration, DIY basics, painting and decorating, retail business, and entrepreneurship. Beneficiaries can choose how much time to commit – as a volunteer, through work experience, or a traineeship.
