FAQ

All of our furniture is previously owned and has been diverted from going to landfill with the help of furniture donations from the public and our partnerships with local organisations. The pieces are then cleaned, restored, fixed and upcycled by our team of staff, trainees and volunteers in our Makerspace at the back of our shop.
We are able to organise local and national delivery, but as we are a small charity, we do not have a delivery team on staff, so delivery is charged at whatever we are quoted for delivery from third parties. You are, of course, welcome to organise delivery yourself. Please make sure you let us know when the collection will be, and organise collection to be during opening hours, which are Monday: 7am-3pm, Tuesday to Friday: 7am-6pm, Saturday: 11am-6pm, Sunday: CLOSED. If your collection will be in a vehicle, you can make use of the delivery yard- please contact us for instructions.
Yes, we are a registered charity. We are a Social Enterprise, so what comes in, gets reinvested directly back in to our people, programmes, and the community. Social enterprises are businesses whose primary purpose is addressing a social or environmental challenge rather than creating profit for owners or shareholders. They bring together the entrepreneurial skills of the private sector and the values of public service. They deliver positive social impact through their means (i.e. how they conduct their work) and ends (i.e. what they achieve).
Most of our furniture are donated by residents and organisations. We occasionally will clear fly-tipped items from the road.
Some items are donated in perfect condition and do not require any restoration, other items would be devalued if we did paint them. But, for the most part we upcycle most of the items that we receive.
Thank you for asking! We gratefully receive furniture donations, please send images to 07557672911 as not all furniture is appropriate for our needs. If you would like to make a monetary donation (thank you) we can accept PayPal payments here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=3PYYPNY9AQXSG
We support people who have been long-term unemployed, or face multiple barriers to accessing employment or training. We accept referrals from organisations, but any London resident can self-refer. Most of our beneficiaries are residents of Hammersmith and Fulham and nearby boroughs.
