Our Founder, unsurprisingly is passionate about interior design and furniture (she also has a penchant for restoring properties). But what you probably didn’t know about Elisicia is that she moonlights as an Evaluator on the award winning, Channel 4 T.V. show, Find It, Fix It, Flog It. Elisicia started this role back in 2015 and has appraised over 300 items. The role is not for the faint of heart as items range from vintage furniture, motorbikes, sailboats, grandfather clocks to swing sets and prams. We asked Elisicia what was the strangest item she evaluated on the show, and told us Simon O’Brien, the co-presenter, was always upcycling the strangest things. But one item that stands out was in series 4, episode 25, where Simon turned a beautiful Ercol hutch into an insect hotel!
This year, more then ever before, everyone needs to do their part to upcycle, recycle and reuse. Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but comes with a lot of waste.
