Reflecting on the past 10 years

We’ve been trading in Shepherd’s Bush for over a decade and what a whirlwind it has been! The last 10 years have been the most rewarding and transformative for the organisation, and, for me personally, too. To say we’ve learnt a lot is an understatement of enormous proportions. There are so many things I am proud of, but I’m most proud of all the people we have worked with and the outcomes the team has achieved. I’ve always felt grateful that we get to create beautiful pieces of furniture and provide support to local people.
We’ve been very lucky to work with many wonderful people, it’s hard to know where to start. But, the trustee board has been the backbone of support for me and it’s hard to imagine any success without them. There’ve been many times where I didn’t think I could keep going, as many of you will know, running a social enterprise is no small feat! But, working with the people we support is a privilege and is ultimately what kept us all going.
10 years before Covid hit, Vince Dalaimo became the first trustee. Through it all, he has been there whenever we needed him, and always with wisdom, balanced viewpoints and humour. Vince served the charity for 14 years and deserves a medal for his contributions. We wish you the best of luck in your onward opportunities and always know there is a cuppa and biscuit at Petit Miracles for you.
Here’s to many more years!
