Learning new skills and bringing volunteers together at St.Mungos Broadway

Our team delivered taster sessions in furniture restoration for St.Mungo’s pilot project, Fantastic February!  A varied programme of entertainment  and opportunities for socialisation across their Camden Mental Health Hostels.

Residents and the team from Petit Miracles refurbished 8 dining chairs, turning rather ordinary looking chairs into fashionable, one of a kind, chairs.

The participants learnt how to assess and repair the chairs for damage, preparation of the surface for painting, and waxing techniques, ensuring a long lasting finish.  IF we might say so ourselves, they look pretty darn fine!
