Saturday afternoon furniture upcycling workshops

We will share our upcycling secrets with you, you will have a chance to watch and then apply your new found skills on a piece of furniture.

You will get to meet new people, learn new skills, get creative and have fun all that the same time.

What you will learn

We work in a small group, so the session will be tailored to your skill level and experience. In general, you will work on a small item, such as a chair, stool or side table. All furniture, tools & materials are supplied.

The session will cover the following:

  • An understanding of the upcycling process
  • Cleaning
  • Sanding
  • Painting
  • Correct tool usage

Advanced Furniture Upcycling (Power Tools)

Doesn’t matter if you’ve never held a hammer, or don’t know your lug nuts from your wall plugs. Our workshop will give you the know-how and the confidence to tackle basic DIY jobs around your own home.

What you will learn

We work in a small group, so the session will go in depth about all stages of the process and will be tailored to your skill level and experience. In general, you will work on a larger item, such as a chest of drawers, sideboard or similar. All furniture, tools & materials are supplied.

The session will cover the following:

  • An understanding of the upcycling process
  • Minor furniture repairs
  • Cleaning
  • Sanding
  • Painting
  • Correct usage of hand & power tools (sanders & drills)
  • Correct usage of materials
  • The finishing touches

Learn how to Upholster a Footstool/Stool Using Modern Techniques (2 day course)

Join us for a 2 day course at the Petit Miracle Interiors shop in the West12 shopping centre, London, Shepherds Bush and learn from our experienced team how to upholster a stool/footstool using modern methods. Learn a new skill and help a small charity. All the tools we use are basic and easy to buy for your own projects at home. Skills gained at the workshop will be a great starting point for many more of your own projects!

At the end of the sessions, you will have gained an understanding of all the stages required when upholstering a stool/footstool. You even get to take home it home with you and show off to all your friends and family!

We work in a small group (around 5 people per workshop) so the sessions will be tailored to your skill level and experience.

Business Workshops

The Petit Miracle Hub invites attendees to learn, develop and refine their entrepreneurial skills at our monthly business workshops. These are run as part of the ‘Start Your Own Enterprise’ Programme funded by the local council. These workshops are FREE for H&F residents. Proof of address will be required from new members (photo ID or a letter).
