Training with a difference

Welcome to our training page! We offer a 6 hour, 6 week and a full 6 month Diploma course accredited by the National Open College Network to agencies within London working with people who have experienced homelessness.

This course has been developed with a passion for Interior Design and a desire to address the gap in the service provision within the homeless sector. In my experience working in the homeless sector the common denominator that arose in employment training were a low attendance rate by the female population and very few training centres were able to offer qualifications to people with literacy issues.

The carefully selected units are Level One entry level courses and do not require any prior learning. The units involve a variety of fun teaching methods including field outings, project work, role plays, practical demonstrations, group discussions and much more.

The units on offer are:

  • Colour Theory and Design
  • Design History
  • Drawing
  • Design Project
  • Design Style
  • Paint Techniques
  • Planning for Interior Design
  • Use of Colour in Interior Design
  • Study Skills

This course provides a challenging yet flexible approach to training. We offer people the chance to learn a new skill, integrate and meet new friends, obtain their qualifications, gain work experience and increase their employability.
